Android Squat App

Dit is een app die gemaakt is door iemand op het pendlay forum:

Wat het eigenlijk is:
Je zet het op je been (met een band ofzo)
En dan kan je na je set squat kijken hoe diep (knee angle) en hoe snel je gaat.
Best handig eigenlijk.

I have developed an android app that tracks things like squat angle (depth), squat speed (angular speed to be precise), exactly at what angle your sticking point is and so on. It can be downloaded for free from the google app store and works on all android phones that runs android version 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) or higher. Just search the store for "deep squatter" or go to the link below.

The thing I am really curious about is how bar speed changes based on % of 1rm and how the speed curve changes with intensity. I am hoping that one can use either the max concentric speed, average concentric speed, the shape of the speed curve or the speed drop in the sticking point to estimate 1rm based on doing a few reps on lighter weights. I have been tracking those parameters during my squat workouts but I need more data to know how consistent the curves are for different individuals.

Would anyone be willing to do a few specific squat workouts with the app and send me the data from the app so I could gather it all up and summarize the results?

The test workout I have in mind is quite similar to what I think many of you are already doing. Just do squats and increment the weight by a pretty small step, say 5kg, each set until hitting a close to 1rm weight (it doesn't have to be a true daily 1rm but it should be close enough to struggle). Preferably at least 10 sets in total should be done to get better resolution on the data.

I am quite excited about what one can possibly do with the app because as far as I know this is the first time a tool is available to measure squat speed consistently instead of having to rely on how the speed feels.

In the app there is an option to email data from each set so all you guys would have to do is enter a email address I give you and send the data to me and I will gather it all up. I will of course share everything here on the forum but anonymize all data.
